LED Area Lighting and Wireless Controls: The Next New Normal (REGISTER NOW)

LED lighting has largely replaced HID lighting for new construction, and, at this point is the "the new normal". Still, the technology continues to evolve, creating products that that have greater efficacy and optical efficiency, solving lighting problems that were not previously addressed with HID lighting. There is also a trend towards visual comfort at lower mounting heights, overcoming the sometimes blinding effects of bright refractive optics. And while LED lighting is "the new normal", the "next new normal" is the use of embedded wireless controls. The cost-effective controls will allow an additional 50% in energy savings while meeting the specific needs of the site and new Code requirements such as IECC 2015.
